Junior Account Executive
A next step for a proven senior SDR
You’ve proved you can pick up the phone, start conversations, and book meetings. Now you want to lead those conversations and take greater ownership of the sales cycle.
We’re looking for a successful senior SDR or junior Account Executive who enjoys prospecting and can build pipeline independently. You’ll use phone, email, LinkedIn, and focused research to reach admissions, enrollment, and marketing leaders at colleges and universities.
Your goal is to hold five to six quality discovery meetings per week, uncovering customer challenges and agreeing on clear next steps. You’ll then join capabilities presentations, sometimes called demos, initially led by senior colleagues. Customers keep a familiar contact, while you gain experience toward owning the full sales cycle.

Why Join StudentBridge:
Choosing where to study changes the course of someone’s life. Our purpose is to help students find the right fit, somewhere they can belong, develop their potential, and build their future. We help colleges and universities bring their stories and communities to life so students can make that choice with greater confidence.
You’ll help us reach more institutions and more students. Your contribution will be visible, your ideas will matter, and you’ll work closely with a team that wants to build something it can be proud of.
The work takes persistence, initiative, and energy. We also believe it should feel good to accomplish things together. At our best, there’s music playing, confidence in the room, and time to celebrate progress through happy hours, team activities, and the occasional unexpected afternoon off.
What You'll Do:
- Hold five to six quality discovery meetings per week. Own the outreach, preparation, and follow through needed to create meaningful conversations with relevant prospects.
- Build momentum through phone, email, and LinkedIn. Calling is central. Initially, this may require around 400 calls per week, with activity evolving as you hold meetings and progress opportunities.
- Run your prospecting independently. Organize your day, manage outreach cadences, test messaging, and follow through with limited daily supervision.
- Research with purpose. Use institutional news, enrollment priorities, and leadership changes to make outreach relevant. Build your expertise in the challenges facing higher education.
- Lead thoughtful discovery. Ask good questions, uncover customer pains and their impact, and gather the insight needed to position solutions later.
- Improve meeting attendance. Set clear expectations, confirm meetings, and follow up consistently, helping improve our show rate toward 60 to 65%.
- Stay involved through capabilities presentations. Share your discovery insights, maintain the relationship, and learn how opportunities move forward.
- Use short personal videos. Be comfortable recording webcam introductions and follow ups. No production or editing expertise is required.
- Keep HubSpot accurate. Maintain clean records, activity history, discovery notes, and next steps.
What You Bring:
- Proven outbound SDR, BDR, or junior AE experience, with substantial personal calling and meeting generation experience.
- A clear account of your prospecting routine, call volumes, and results, supported by credible examples and references.
- Enjoyment of phone prospecting and persistence through unanswered calls and rejection.
- Resourcefulness and discipline. You take action, solve problems, manage priorities, and ask focused questions when you need help.
- Curiosity, thoughtful listening, clear communication, and comfort on camera.
- Openness to feedback, ambition to own the full sales cycle, and pride in contributing to a team.
Higher education experience and HubSpot familiarity are advantages. Strong outbound performers from other B2B markets are welcome.
How You'll Get Started:
Training starts with our customers, their pains, and the outcomes we can help them achieve. You’ll learn benefit statements, objection handling, and how to ask questions that earn meetings and uncover needs. Customer understanding comes before positioning solutions.
During your initial stage, an experienced colleague will work alongside you in discovery meetings as you prepare to lead independently. Senior colleagues will initially lead capabilities presentations, with you participating and learning.
You should arrive knowing how to prospect independently. We’ll help you apply those skills to our market and develop through the sales cycle.
Location And Benefits:
Atlanta area candidates who can work hybrid are preferred. Exceptional remote candidates will also be considered.
We offer competitive base pay plus performance incentives, health, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) with company match, and 15 days of PTO per calendar year for new employees, accrued monthly under company policy.
