Frequently Asked Questions

 Graduation Celebration

Implementation Support

Q: Will I have the ability to talk to a Full Measure implementation specialist?

Yes! You’ll receive a dedicated Account Manager, as well as multiple onboarding and training meetings with our Client Services team.

Q: How do I know what to do?

Great question! You’ll receive an Implementation Overview, as well as a Storyboard, so we can work together to set out timelines on deliverables. We’ll work as diligently as possible to make sure your team understands exactly which pieces they need to tackle and exactly which pieces the Full Measure team is going to take on for you.

Q: What are your communication methods during onboarding & Production?

We’ll do our best to work within whatever methods work best for your team. But typically, we will operate through a combination of project plans, email, and phone.

Q: Is the back end of our platform user friendly?

100%! Everything on the backend is completely drag-and-drop and templated for your convenience. There is no HTML knowledge required.

Q: What does a timeline look like from contract signed to launch?

We’ll provide you with a detailed Project Plan and Implementation Overview so we can clearly outline a customized timeline of deliverables. However, the ideal implementation window is 4-6 weeks.

Q: Can you hold our hand throughout the entire process?

We can, but you won’t want us to! Our hope is that you dive into our backend platform and get super excited about the ability to customize templates, create branded content, and reach your students. However, our team is always by your side if you need us.

Data Exchange

Q: What if we don’t have the right phone numbers of the students?

Institutions can distribute the invite being existing means of communication such as email or social media.

Q: What if our students don’t have a smartphone?

Students can submit their information from a desktop or tablet device.

Q: Can we also send out this information via email?

While Full Measure will deploy the experience via SMS, Institutions are welcome to distribute the information via email as well. We also have strategies we recommend where you can include links to the experience via email, among other things, to drive your graduates to mobile.

Q: How do we get the data files to you?

The data exchange process is fairly simple. All we need is a CSV to get started!

Q: Why is a mobile-first approach important?

Today’s students spend their time on mobile devices, and your most vulnerable populations are more likely to be dependent on their smartphone to access the internet. Moving to mobile is no longer a nice to have - it’s a necessity. In today's climate, it is becoming increasingly important to have the capability to reach your students quickly and efficiently. We, as a team, are hyper-focused on the power of a mobile-first approach and highlighting its' ability to connect your community around the moment of graduation in real-time.

Production Process

Q: Do you create the ceremony from start to finish?

Yes! The Full Measure team will produce the ceremony for your review. All we ask is that you send us any b-roll or raw footage of campus that you may have, as well as the raw files of your recorded speakers, and we’ll combine all of those assets with the student slides, interstitials, background music, and more until you’re satisfied with the final product.

Q: How long until we get our first draft?

The first draft of the ceremony will be provided for review one week after receiving the initial videos.

Q: Will I be able to make last minute updates?

While we don’t encourage making updates very closely to the time of your ceremony premiere, it can and has been done before. In a pinch, we can make it happen. If necessary, edits can be made up to 48 hours before the premiere.

Student Slides

Q: How often/when do students submit their slide info? (I.E. Most students Don’t submit their slides till the very end)

Good question! We’ve actually heard many times that institutions see significantly more participation in this virtual graduation then they have in the past with their in-person ceremonies. The reason for this seems to be that it’s a bit easier to participate in an online celebration for anyone who couldn’t make it out to in-person ceremonies in the past.

Q: Can we have different slide templates?

You’ll have the option to fully customize your slide design, but each ceremony will only have one consistent template based on the design you choose.

Q: What do we do for students who do not submit information?

We have filler photos or quotes that we can put in place of any empty submissions, so it still looks aesthetically pleasing as we move through the ceremony.

Q: How do I approve student submissions?

The Full Measure team will take on the process of reaching out to your graduating students and asking them to fill out form fields and submit their slide photos through our Progressive Web App. From there, we will pass the submissions back to your team for you to review, give us the green light, and then we’ll begin ceremony production with the approved student slides.

Q: How do we alert students whose submissions need to be redone?

That’s up to you! If you’d like to take that on, and pass the information back to us, we understand. However, we can certainly reach out on your behalf to the few students who need to resubmit and take care of the changes for you.

Q: How long is each student slide displayed?

While the length is customizable, we’ve found that 5-7 seconds is the perfect amount of time to celebrate, without making the ceremony too long.

Q: What is the standard number of seconds between each student slide? Can we customize this?

By default, we transition from one student to the other without pause. This can be customized.

Q: Can students submit professional/their own photos or does it have to be the AR filters?

We have filler photos or quotes that we can put in place of any empty submissions, so it still looks aesthetically pleasing as we move through the ceremony.

Q: What is the last day students can submit?

We prefer to have student submissions in no later than 7 days before the premiere.

Q: Will the students be able to search for their slides and their friend’s slides after the ceremony?

No. But if you choose to have the slides presented in alphabetical order, we can Highlight that in our day-of-ceremony reminder to students so they know when to expect their slide or their friends’ slide(s).

Q: Will we get to show the students what their slides will look like before launch?

Unfortunately, no. However, you can send students a sample slide when they submit their fields and photo, so they can get a pretty good sense of what to expect.

Speakers & name reading

Q: Can we record our own speakers?

Yes! You’ll record your own speakers. There are a few options.

  • Use our best practices to record your own audio and video from a smartphone at home.

  • Utilize members of your AV team, if they’re on campus, and have them record your speakers using our best practices as well.

  • Full Measure can send one of our contractors from your state to record your speaker(s) on-campus.

Q: Who will do the name reading?

The Full Measure team can conduct the name reading for you. Or, if you have a familiar voice on campus who typically does the name reading, we’ll provide step-by-step instructions for how to complete the name reading in-house.

Q: What if we want our speakers to speak live?

Instead of pre-recording everything, you can do it all live. This includes preproduction planning, live rehearsal with all speakers, and live show. There is an additional cost associated with this.

Compliance

Q: Is your captioning ADA compliant?

Yes, it is! Full Measure uses a third party human transcription service to ensure all captioning files are fully compliant

Q: Can I have an ASL interpreter in the ceremony?

Yes, if your institution wants to film an ASL interpreter, we can include that in the video.

Q: How does the closed captioning process work?

Full Measure has each ceremony professionally captioned by a third party human transcription service. This ensures full ADA compliance.

Q: Can I have closed captioning in Spanish and English?

Yes, closed captioning can be done in multiple languages.

Day of ceremony

Q: Can we stream on both YouTube and Facebook?

Yes! One or the other, or both. It’s entirely up to you.

Q: Can we stream on our own internal platform?

Yes! You will own the final production and can stream / host it on any service you would like.

Q: Do we provide day of support?

Day-of, morning-of, middle-of-the-night of. We’re here for you!

Q: Will you host the production on our YouTube or yours?

Whatever you prefer! We can work with you to set up the premiere on your Youtube/Facebook channels, or we can host the premiere(s) for you.

Post commencement

Q: How do students get their roll call slide?

Students receive their roll call slide through an additional campaign in the Progressive Web App post-commencement. There is a download link included in the campaign.

Q: When will students get their roll call slide?

At an interval pre-determined by your institution, but a minimum of 14 days post commencement.

Q: Will you provide any post-commencement reporting?

Great question. We will absolutely provide your team with a high-level project overview upon the conclusion of the ceremony. This overview will highlight social media performance, ceremony participation, campaign interactions, and more. Similarly, your team will have 24/7 access to a backend dashboard displaying the more granular data around how your graduates interacted with the experience. For example, if 27 graduates requested more information on diploma ordering, you'll be able to see exactly which 27 graduates requested that information and when they requested it.
